Kenai

Kenai is a precious 2-4 year old mixed breed who came to us with a harrowing story. She was found as a stray, dragging a chain and trap behind her. Thankfully, she was safely captured and rushed to the vet, where it was discovered she had extensive injuries to her leg, requiring amputation. Now, Kenai is safe in our care and embracing her new life as a tripod, taking everything in stride. Despite her difficult past, she remains a sweet, gentle, friendly, loving, and smart girl who gets along well with other dogs. This brave girl is so deserving of a happy ending, and we're committed to making the rest of her life the best of her life.

Ideal Home

Kenai is looking for a home where she can continue to heal and thrive. She's already shown she's a social butterfly with other dogs!

Ongoing Health

Kenai's leg was amputated due to injuries sustained before her rescue. She is recovering well and adjusting to life as a tripod.

Training & Support

Like all rescue dogs, Kenai will benefit from ongoing training and socialization to help her continue to grow and build confidence in her new life.

Transportation

Kenai is located in South Carolina and is transported to the Northeast weekly. Applicants not located along the East Coast should be willing to travel to pick up their pet. Local or virtual meet-and-greets are available with an application on file.
