Willow

Meet Willow! This sweet, low-energy girl is a calm and gentle soul who is learning that the world is a safe and wonderful place. Willow was rescued from an overcrowded shelter in Houston, TX, where she was initially very shut down. Thankfully, a compassionate volunteer saw her potential and offered her a foster home, giving Willow the chance to blossom.

Willow loves treats and enjoys quiet companionship. She walks beautifully on leash and is making steady progress with passing cars, which can still make her a bit nervous. She gets along well with other dogs but prefers a peaceful environment and her own space. Once Willow feels comfortable, her affection shines through with heartwarming gestures like a wagging tail, gentle pets, and an immediate request for belly rubs. She's a devoted companion who likes to stay close to her person without being demanding. Willow is potty trained and signals when she needs to go outside. She also does wonderfully in her crate and settles herself for bed each night.

Ongoing Health

Willow has just finished heartworm treatment and is now ready to find her forever home.

Training & Support

Willow is potty trained and crate trained. She is still building confidence and benefits from patience and consistency as she learns that she is safe.
