Meet Raya!
Raya's story is one of resilience and loyalty. She bravely stayed by her sibling's side after a tragic accident, refusing to leave until a volunteer could safely bring her to safety. This experience, while heartbreaking, marked the beginning of her new life. Today, Raya is a happy, playful, and athletic young girl who bounces through life with an infectious goofiness. She's incredibly athletic and loves to hop like a deer when she gets the zoomies, a sight sure to bring a smile to your face.
Raya thrives on adventure and is always ready for a walk, car ride, or hike. She'd happily explore for miles and enjoys having a fenced yard for her escapades. However, her greatest joy is being close to her people. She loves to snuggle, claim the couch, and inch her way onto your bed. Raya is looking for a family who wants a dog to be an integral part of their daily life and is excited to provide that connection.
Ideal Home
Raya would do best in a home with a securely fenced yard where she can safely explore and play. She needs slow, positive introductions to new people and other dogs, as she can be a bit reserved at first. Due to her need for careful introductions and her tendency to find cats a bit too exciting, she is looking for a cat-free home and would likely do best as an only dog. Raya also struggles with separation anxiety and is not suited for a home where she would be left alone for 8-10 hours a day.
Ongoing Health
All dogs are cleared by a licensed veterinarian for transport and arrive spayed/neutered, with age-appropriate vaccines completed, and microchipped.
Training & Support
Raya uses a crate when needed to help manage some separation anxiety and prevent mischief. She benefits from slow, positive introductions to new friends.
