Meet Sally! Sally is a 30-pound bundle of pure, unconditional love. She's a professional cuddler and firmly believes personal space is overrated. If you're dreaming of a dog who wants to be as close to you as physically possible, Sally is your girl!
Sally's life didn't always look this bright. She was found living under a trailer with her puppies after being neglected. She wandered the neighborhood searching for food to keep herself and her babies alive while kind neighbors stepped in to help feed her. Eventually, those neighbors asked if they could take her, and thankfully, her former owner agreed. Now Sally is safe in a loving foster home, and those difficult days are finally behind her.
Sally adores everyone she meets, especially kids. She also gets along well with other dogs, though she appreciates slow, proper introductions. Once she's comfortable, she's happy to make friends. That said, she'd be just as content as your one and only, because people are truly her favorite.
Sally is a smart cattle dog and learns quickly. She picked up potty training and leash walking with ease. She's currently working on crate training, but she isn't exactly a fan and she's surprisingly talented at escaping! Thankfully, she has been trustworthy in the house and hasn't shown destructive behaviors, so she may not need to be crated once she's settled into her forever home.
Although we estimate Sally is only about a year old, she has an old soul. Her rough start in life seems to have given her a calm, appreciative outlook. Don't get us wrong, she'll happily join you for hikes, road trips, neighborhood walks, or any adventure you have planned. But coming home afterward to curl up on the couch with her favorite people is just as exciting in her eyes. Sally has spent enough of her life wondering where her next meal or safe place to sleep would come from. Now all she needs is a family who will love her as fiercely as she'll love them.
