Lazarus "Lazzie"

💙 Meet Lazarus, a.k.a. Lazzie! 💙

Lazzie is a 3-4 year old, 50 lb., handsome black Lab mix with a gorgeous, shiny coat. He's a volunteer favorite because he's a calm, gentle, and quiet boy who loves to lounge and cuddle on the bed with his people and other dogs. He gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and currently shares his space with a chihuahua and a 70 lb. pit bull. Lazzie even enjoyed socializing at a local bar adoption event, making new friends with strangers and gaining confidence from his canine companions.

Ideal Home

Lazzie enjoys the company of other dogs and seems likely to get along well with cats and children. He is kennel and potty trained.

Ongoing Health

Lazzie came to us covered in mange and suffering from an upper respiratory infection. He has received proper veterinary treatment and is now healthy and strong.

Training & Support

No specific training needs are mentioned, but he has shown confidence and gentleness in new social situations.

Lazzie is located in Houston, TX. Transport is included in the adoption fee and can reach various states, with pickup locations potentially varying. We coordinate with ground transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states. Adopters can track their dog's journey via the Life360 app or Facebook chats.
