Meet Moose! This 1-year-old hound mix is around 45 pounds and has a heart as big as his paws. Moose is a wonderfully intelligent and gentle soul with a goofy personality that's sure to bring endless smiles and laughter into your life. He's an adventurous spirit who also possesses remarkable patience, always ready to explore the world alongside his humans. Moose is a social butterfly, making friends with everyone he meets, whether they have two legs or four! His playful nature and infectious zest for life make every day an adventure. He's a master snuggle bug and the perfect companion for cozy nights in, but he also loves car rides, daily walks, scenic trails, and thrilling hikes. Moose thrives in playgroups and loves the camaraderie of other dogs. He's house and crate trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and is diligently working on his basic obedience commands and recall.
Ideal Home
Moose would thrive in a home with a fenced-in yard and other playful doggy companions. Respectful, pet-friendly children would also be a great addition to his family.
Ongoing Health
Moose's adoption fee includes spay/neuter, rabies vaccination, core vaccinations (Leptospirosis, Coronavirus & Lyme), a negative heartworm test (if of age), monthly heartworm, flea, and tick prevention, a negative Lyme disease test, deworming, a negative fecal test, and all age-appropriate medical needs addressed. He will also receive a lifetime microchip registration.
Training & Support
Moose is house and crate trained and walks well on a leash. He is actively working on basic obedience commands and recall. Continued training is highly encouraged to ensure his lifelong success.

- Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
- The review of adoption applications, meet and greets, and citation can take up to three weeks.
- A minimum of one meet-and-greet session with dogs is required before adoption.
- A home visit with Moose upon adoption is required.
- Out-of-state adopters are welcome at their own expense.
- Adoption fees are payable at the time of adoption.
- Payment plans are not available.
- For former Wags adopters, a donation of your choice is appreciated, and no formal adoption fee is required.
Transportation
Moose is currently located at our facility. Transportation to adopters may be possible at the adopter's expense, with a minimum charge of $35 up to $85 in addition to the adoption fee. This fee is due when the meet-and-greet is scheduled and depends on the number of meet-and-greets and the distance. We DO NOT ship our adoptable pets.
