Navajo, a 6.5-year-old, neutered male Pitbull mix weighing about 75 pounds, is a sweet, affectionate, and easygoing pup looking for his forever home. He strikes a wonderful balance between playful energy and calm companionship, making him happy to join you on a daily walk or simply relax by your side. Navajo is known for his playful spirit, his love for toys and cuddles, and his unique talent for finding cozy nap spots. He's also an excellent car rider and a favorite at the vet!
Ideal Home
Navajo would thrive in a stable, moderately active home where he can enjoy daily walks, occasional outings, and plenty of affection. He can do well as an only dog or with a compatible canine friend. He would do best in a cat-free home, as he has shown a strong prey drive towards cats.
Ongoing Health
Navajo required dental work upon arrival in foster care, which included the removal of several damaged teeth, including his canines. His remaining teeth are healthy, and he still enjoys chewing his favorite bones without any issues.
Training & Support
Navajo is fully house-trained and crate-trained. He can be left loose in the house when you're away and shows no signs of separation anxiety. He is polite and non-reactive on leash, though he may pull a little at the start of walks when excited. He enjoys playing with other dogs in small groups and generally reads social cues well, though he may occasionally need gentle redirection if he gets a little too excited. He tends to be most comfortable with dogs his size or smaller, and proper introductions help him succeed with larger dogs.
