MEET PARKER - A SPECIAL DOG SEARCHING FOR THE RIGHT FOSTER OR ADOPTER

Parker is a three-year-old, 60-pound Pit Bull/Cattle Dog/Great Pyrenees mix with the heart and drive of a working dog. He is intelligent, loyal, eager to learn, and forms incredibly strong bonds with his people. He thrives when he has structure, purpose, and someone confident to guide him. For over 2.5 years, Parker has experienced nothing but instability. He spent more than a year waiting in a rural shelter before we rescued him in January 2025. Since then, he's been shuffled between foster homes, kennels, and boarding, never having the opportunity to truly settle in. Through it all, Parker has never given up on people.

Ideal Home

Parker's ideal home would be a rural property, farm, or quiet home with minimal outside activity. He needs an experienced, confident handler who understands working breeds. He would do best in a home with adults or older teens only and no cats. Another dog may be possible, but only with the right match. He becomes overwhelmed in busy neighborhoods filled with constant activity, dogs, children, traffic, and endless stimulation.

Ongoing Health

Parker is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative.

Training & Support

Parker has completed extensive professional training and has made tremendous progress, but his biggest challenge is his environment. He needs a calm, predictable setting where he can relax and succeed.
