Hi, I'm Scout!
I'm a 1-year-old, 40-lb Lab mix, and somehow I've been waiting over 6 months for someone to choose me. I've spent half a year hoping my family would come along, and I know they have to be out there somewhere. I'm the kind of dog who wants to be your best friend and your adventure buddy. Want to explore new trails? Play outside? Throw some toys around in the yard? I'm ready! I'm a happy, energetic boy who loves being active and making memories with my people. But my favorite thing isn't just the adventure — it's getting to share life with someone. I love people, I'm great with kids, and I have the sweetest, most affectionate personality. After a day of fun, I'm always happy to soak up love and snuggles from my humans. I'm also a social guy who loves other dogs and enjoys having doggie friends to play with. I even went to a busy adoption event recently with tons of people, dogs, and excitement around me... and I did amazing! A few more reasons you'll love me: I'm potty trained, crate trained, and leash trained. I love toys, chew bones, and playing outside. I'm always ready for my next adventure! I also have one silly little habit that always makes people smile — I like to lay down while I eat. What can I say? I believe snacks are best enjoyed when you're comfy. I'm still young, eager to learn, and have so much love and life ahead of me. I don't understand why I've spent over 6 months waiting, but I'm hoping my forever family sees me soon. Could you be the person I've been waiting for?
