Phoebe is a 2.5-year-old, 60-pound female Pitbull Terrier mix who is full of love and ready to find her furever family! She's an incredibly sweet girl with lots of energy, but she also knows how to relax and cuddle up on a warm lap or a cozy blanket. Phoebe loves to play tug-of-war, bask in the sun, and go for long runs. She's also a big fan of sticks and toys!
Phoebe has undergone extensive training and runs an hour a day to expend her energy. She's house-trained, sleeps through the night, and obeys commands. If you're an active person who enjoys sports, Phoebe would be the perfect partner to motivate you during your workouts. She's trained to run alongside skates or a bicycle, understands when to stop, and only runs on command. She's focused and won't be distracted from her task. Phoebe is a disciplined and athletic girl who will make your outdoor adventures even more enjoyable. She's even happy to carry her own water in a pet backpack!
Ideal Home
Phoebe would thrive in a home with owners who have experience with the Pitbull breed and a taste for exercise and challenges. An active family that enjoys outdoor activities and daily exercise is ideal. She needs a fenced backyard and a home where residents have an open mind about rescuing street animals and understand their need for protection and education. Experience in dog behavior and training, along with high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies, is essential. Phoebe cannot live with children or other dogs, especially territorial ones.
Ongoing Health
Phoebe has received a comprehensive health protocol, including being spayed, vaccinated (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella), dewormed, and tested negative for heartworm. She is also on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm preventative.
Training & Support
Phoebe has received professional training from Gray Wolf Canine Rehabilitation. The adopting family will receive ongoing support and advice from the trainer. She is house-trained, kennel-trained, and follows commands.
