Ruggy

Please don't scroll past this handsome little guy! Ruggy is an estimated 1.5-year-old terrier mix weighing around 20 lbs and he's packed full of personality, love, and zoomies. The long body, short legs, small size, and smooth coat suggest Dachshund, while the large ears, face shape, and overall build suggest Chihuahua. This fun-sized boy is playful, loyal, and always ready for his next adventure, especially if treats are involved. Ruggy is a loving and loyal companion once he bonds with you, and he's a champion at zoomies!

Ideal Home

Ruggy can be a little shy or nervous around strangers at first and will need a patient, understanding home willing to give him time to decompress and settle in. He enjoys other dogs, as well as horses, goats, and donkeys, and thinks all animals are his friends. His reaction to cats is unknown, but he would likely do well with dog-savvy cats.

Ongoing Health

Ruggy has been neutered, microchipped, and is up to date on vaccines and monthly preventatives.

Training & Support

Ruggy is house and crate trained. Like many young dogs, he still has some playful, silly, mischievous moments, including a talent for stealing shoes and hiding them around the house. He is treat motivated, which will be helpful for continuing to build his confidence.
