Ollie is a happy, social Black Mouth Cur puppy full of life and curiosity. He gets along well with dogs, cats, men, women, and even roosters, making him a very adaptable and well-rounded pup. As a young puppy, Ollie is playful, energetic, and joyful. He loves to run, chase, and follow his dog companions, and he truly enjoys being part of the group. He is also very affectionate, loves giving kisses, and seeks human connection.
Ideal Home
Ollie is looking for an active family that enjoys outdoor activities and has a fenced backyard. He would thrive in a home with people who have experience in dog behavior and training or are willing to hire a trainer. Patience and high tolerance for rescued puppies are essential.
Ongoing Health
Ollie has received a spay/neuter certificate, DHPPI vaccines, rabies vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, and deworming. He is microchipped and has tested negative for heartworm. He also receives monthly Nexgard Spectra for flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.
Training & Support
Ollie is food-motivated and can be protective of his food, sometimes trying to take food from other dogs. If resisted, he may show mild, passive defensive behavior. It is recommended to feed him separately and continue basic training to help him learn boundaries. He is not house-trained, and adopters should understand that rescued pets may need time to adjust and may exhibit behaviors requiring patience and understanding.
