Meet Gina!
Gina is a sweet and playful 1-year-old Belgian Malinois mix, weighing in at 56lbs. She was rescued after being found as a tiny puppy abandoned in a cardboard box near a busy road. Despite her rough start, Gina is now in a loving foster home and ready to find her forever family! She has a heart full of love to give and is looking for someone to share it with. Gina is a toy enthusiast who loves to gather them all in her bed and is also learning to play fetch. She's a smart cookie who is house and crate trained, walks well on a leash, and shows no signs of separation anxiety.
Ideal Home
Gina would thrive in an active home with a family who understands how to raise a large, energetic pup. She would do best with older children (10 and up) who are dog-savvy, as she can be jumpy when excited and hasn't had much experience with kids. A home with another dog would be ideal to keep her company and help her burn off energy. Gina is very enthusiastic about neighborhood kitties, so a cat-free home is recommended.
Ongoing Health
Gina is spayed and up to date on vaccinations. We do not have any other health concerns to report at this time.
Training & Support
Gina is house and crate trained and can be crated for up to 8 hours. She is in her "puppy velociraptor" stage, meaning she's still learning what's appropriate to chew on, so guidance will be needed. She prefers to eat her treats alone. Regular socialization and positive reinforcement training will be key to helping her grow into a well-mannered adult.
