Bodhi is a handsome, playful boy looking for a forever home where he can continue learning what it means to feel safe, loved, and part of a family. He is a 50-pound Black Mouth Cur, a working breed known for being loyal, intelligent, and athletic. Bodhi's story hasn't been the easiest; he was left behind on a property, scared, hungry, and unsure of the world around him. When his foster family first took him in, he was unfamiliar with basic things like doors or living inside a home. But despite his rough start, Bodhi has shown just how resilient and loving he truly is. Over the past few months in foster care, Bodhi has made incredible progress. He is now housebroken, crate-trained, and walks well on a leash. He currently lives with two other dogs and gets along well with them. He can still be a little skittish at first due to his past trauma, but he is not aggressive, just cautious until he feels comfortable. Once he trusts you, his goofy and affectionate personality shines through. He's playful, silly, and even has an adorable habit of making funny little growl-purr noises when being pet. Bodhi is very food motivated, which makes training fun and rewarding. He loves running around outside, has plenty of energy, and even enjoys swimming. He would thrive in an active home that can give him both structure and adventure. Bodhi has come such a long way already, and now he deserves a safe, stable forever home where he can continue to blossom into the loyal companion he was always meant to be.
