Meet Rufus, a delightful 2-year-old, 22lb Cockapoo/Shih Tzu mix who is bursting with smarts, sweetness, and personality! This fluffy charmer was found wandering the streets in Texas, a bit of a mess with tangled fur, but even then, his tail never stopped wagging. Now cleaned up and safe, Rufus is revealing his true joyful, clever, and affectionate nature. He's the perfect "pick me up" size and absolutely adores belly rubs!

Rufus would thrive in a home with an active person or family who understands he needs a little time to adjust. Because of his exuberance and enthusiasm for life, he's best suited for a household without children under 10.

Rufus is completely vetted and ready for his forever home! He has been neutered, microchipped, is heartworm negative, and up to date on all his vaccines.

Training & Support

Rufus is a smart boy who knows "sit" and comes when called. He's crate trained and house trained when kept on a regular schedule. He's eager to please and learns quickly, but he's still polishing his manners and has a lot of enthusiasm!

Rufus is currently in Houston, TX. We arrange transport to bring our pups to their new homes. Once your application is approved, we can arrange a FaceTime session to meet him. You'll be included in real-time updates to track his progress to a location near you.
