Meet Hachi! This sweet boy is estimated to be around 2 years old and weighs about 50 lbs. For most of his life, Hachi knew only the confines of an outdoor kennel, rescued from a hoarding situation. He spent his days watching the world from behind bars, never knowing what it felt like to be truly loved. Despite his past, Hachi's heart remained soft, and he's a total love bug who greets life with a wagging tail and a gentle spirit. He adores spending time with his humans, is wonderful with kids, and is a big-time people person who has never met a stranger he didn't want to be friends with. Things many dogs take for granted, like belly rubs, a cozy bed, and quality time with family, are things Hachi truly treasures. He's a resilient little guy who is crate trained, potty trained, and ready to settle into a home of his own. Hachi rides great in the car and would love to join you on adventures. He's a medium-energy guy, always up for some fun but just as happy to curl up next to you and relax. After spending so much of his life living in a kennel, Hachi deserves to spend the rest of it forgetting one ever existed. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a heart of gold and a story of resilience, Hachi is ready to show you just how much love he's been saving all these years.
Ideal Home
Hachi is looking for a home where he's included, cherished, and loved. He would love to join you on adventures and is happy to relax next to you after a fun day.
Ongoing Health
Hachi is still working on gaining weight after years of being underfed. His ideal weight is closer to 60 lbs.
Training & Support
While Hachi does best with slow introductions to other dogs, once he trusts another pup, he's all in. He tends to do better with confident dogs; with more timid ones, he sometimes tries to play the "big tough guy" and see who's boss.
