Meet Frito!
Frito’s story could have been heartbreaking, but this little guy has made sure it became one of resilience, strength, and joy instead. After being hit by a car, Frito suffered a severe leg injury that ultimately required amputation. But if you think Frito spends even a second feeling sorry for himself, you clearly haven’t met him yet. This incredible boy adjusted to life as a tripod like an absolute champion and gets around as if he was born with three legs. Running, playing, exploring, zooming around the yard — Frito does it all.
More than anything though, Frito is just the sweetest soul. He is incredibly affectionate and loves being close to his people. He has that special kind of personality that melts right into you — the kind of dog that leans in for extra pets, wants to be by your side, and happily soaks up every bit of love and attention he can get. He’s playful and fun when it’s time for adventure, but also has a gentle, easygoing side that makes him such a joy to be around. Frito doesn’t see himself as different, and honestly, neither do we. We just see a happy, loving dog with a huge heart. Frito has already overcome more than most dogs ever should have to. Now all he needs is the one thing he deserves most — a forever family to love him for the amazing dog he is. Three legs. Endless love. One incredible best friend waiting for his forever home.

Frito's left hind leg was amputated due to an injury sustained from being hit by a car. He has fully adapted to life as a tripod.
