Sophie

Sophie is a beautiful 5-year-old Shih Tzu, weighing about 10 pounds, who is ready to trade her breeder days for a cozy retirement! She's mostly house-trained, with the occasional puppy pad accident. Sophie loves to zoom around in a fenced backyard, and while leash training is still in progress, a harness is a must for her walks. She's happy to sleep in her crate at night but would much prefer to snuggle up in a pillow fort on your bed, with you and any resident cats or dogs!

Ideal Home

Sophie would love a home with a securely fenced backyard where she can run and play. Her tolerance for small children is unknown, so a home without them might be best.

Ongoing Health

Sophie will have her vetting and spay procedure completed before adoption.

Training & Support

Sophie is mostly house-trained but may have occasional accidents. Leash training is ongoing, and she requires a harness for walks. She can be a little stubborn about coming inside, preferring to be picked up at the door. As she's not food-motivated and hasn't taken treats from staff yet, building trust will take a bit of time and patience. She adores big, soft toys, especially ones that crinkle!
