About Wendy - New to Rescue- Young

Wendy is a gentle and calm girl, estimated to be between 18 months and 2 years old. She was found as a stray and is adjusting well to her new surroundings. Wendy enjoys attention and doesn't mind being brushed. She walks nicely on a leash, and while she hasn't been tested with cats, she is comfortable around other dogs and people.

Ideal Home

Wendy would thrive in a home where she can be an indoor pet with outdoor privileges. A securely fenced yard, accessible from the home, is a must. Invisible fencing is not recommended for Great Pyrenees, as they are known to roam and may not be reliable off-leash. This breed is independent and bred to be thinkers, so a home that understands and can manage this trait is ideal. Applicants must be over 25, own their home, and all children in the household must be over 6 years old.

Ongoing Health

No specific health conditions are noted in Wendy's description. She will come up-to-date on vaccines.

Training & Support

Obedience training is recommended for all newly adopted Great Pyrenees to help build a strong bond and ensure good behavior. While willing to learn, this breed is not always eager to comply with commands due to their independent nature.
