Tori

Tori is a funny, affectionate senior German Shepherd mix with a clever personality and plenty of enthusiasm for walks, playtime, and learning new tricks. She is shy at first and appreciates having her boundaries respected, but becomes sweet and engaging once she knows you.

Ideal Home

Tori needs a home without dogs, cats, or children. She would do best with someone who can provide daily exercise and playtime, understands her boundaries, and does not live in an apartment. A physical fence is preferred but not required if she receives regular walks and exercise.

She loves walks, her stuffed bear, squeaky tennis balls, rolling in the grass, helping with outdoor chores, watching the neighborhood from the window, and greeting the neighbor dog through the fence. She dislikes baths, rough-housing, being outside alone, and strangers moving quickly around her.

Ongoing Health

Tori came to the rescue with a liver condition. She is currently very healthy and her liver tests well, but she will need medication for the rest of her life. She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, flea and heartworm current, and heartworm negative.

Training & Support

Tori is house trained and has perfect manners without needing a crate. She does not chew things or have accidents. She is remarkably smart and has learned many words and commands, including “cross,” which she uses on walks to move away from approaching people or dogs.
