Gigi is a aproximadamente 3-year-old, 40 lb bundle of love with a heart as big as her personality! She's a delightful mix of Staffordshire Terrier who was found as a stray in Saltillo, Mexico. Gigi's journey to finding her forever home has been a challenging one, but her resilience and sweet nature shine through. She was rescued when she was in heat and being bothered by other dogs. She was taken in and spayed, but unfortunately, she experienced complications during her recovery, including coagulation problems and a prolonged hospital stay. Despite these difficulties, Gigi is a fighter and has overcome her health struggles, though her hind legs were initially weak. She has since been recuperated at home and is now ready to find a loving family to shower with affection. Gigi is described as friendly, affectionate, loyal, gentle, playful, smart, protective, brave, curious, independent, funny, athletic, quiet, dignified, loving, sweet, joyful, beautiful, mellow, caring, cheerful, pampered, obedient, patient, cuddly, dashing, devoted, sensitive, eager to please, silly, friendly, snuggly, entertaining, warm, and intelligent. She also seems to be dog-friendly!
Ideal Home
Gigi would thrive in a home with owners who have a fenced backyard and are experienced with the Staffordshire Terrier breed. She needs a family that enjoys outdoor activities and has an open mind about the behaviors of rescued animals, understanding their need for protection and education. Patience and tolerance are key, as Gigi is a rescue pup who is still learning.
Ongoing Health
Gigi has been spayed and is up-to-date on all her vaccinations, including DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella. She has been dewormed, tested for 4DX and heartworm (testing negative for heartworm), and receives monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive for fleas, ticks, and heartworms. She has a health certificate and a vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Gigi is not house-trained and will require patience and consistency in a new home to help her learn. Her rescuers emphasize that they do not have "perfect" dogs, but rather "perfectly imperfect" ones who need love and education.

Transportation
Gigi is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast of the United States on our cross-country transport. A transport fee of $400.00 will be paid by the adopter prior to the pet's departure. This service is provided by a transport company and will deliver directly to the adopter's home address.
