Alabama - Crate/Leash/House Trained. Good w dogs & cats

Alabama is a wonderful 6-year-old Heeler Mix who, with the community's help, was rescued from euthanasia in mid-2025. He's made incredible progress since arriving, quickly learning to trust, explore, and engage with the world around him. Alabama has completed his vetting and training, graduating with flying colors! He's now reliably leash, crate, and house trained, and knows basic commands. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and has also been introduced to cats and house/pet pigs without any issues. Given his journey, Alabama is still a work in progress and would do best in a home with teens and up. A fenced yard is highly recommended to help him continue to feel secure and explore.

Ongoing Health

Alabama is fully vetted and up-to-date on all age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipped, and has received preventative treatments for fleas, ticks, heartworms, and other common internal parasites.

Training & Support

Alabama is house, crate, and leash trained, and knows basic commands. While he's made amazing progress, he is still a work in progress and will benefit from continued patience, love, and understanding as he adjusts to his forever home. The journey with him promises to be full of heart and deep rewards.
