About Pooh

Pooh Bear is a lovable, big-hearted dog looking for his perfect forever home. This handsome black Catahoula Leopard Dog / Lab mix is around 3 years old and weighs about 65 pounds. He is neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative (and on prevention), so he’s ready to go. Pooh Bear is the ultimate cuddle companion. He truly believes he’s a lap dog and will happily curl up as close to you as possible—preferably right on your pillow. While he loves being near his people, he also does well resting in his kennel or his own space, especially if he has a buddy nearby. His best friend Sally helps comfort him, and he enjoys having a companion to keep him company. He is smart, eager to please, and already house, crate, and leash trained. Pooh Bear loves toys, playtime, and especially enjoys wrestling and interacting with his humans or dog friends. He’s always up for an adventure, particularly if it involves chasing squirrels. Pooh Bear does great with children and most dogs. He can be selective with other male dogs, especially if they are dominant, as he won’t back down if challenged. Because of this, he would do best with proper introductions. He is not a good fit for a home with cats. What makes Pooh Bear special is his combination of affection, intelligence, and playful personality. He is a loyal companion who will bring both fun and comfort to his future family.
