Contact me at jimbev.stellman@gmail.com or 763-245-7995  Our puppies are very important to us and we spend many hours socializing and playing with them.  They have their first shot and have been dewormed before going to their new homes.   We breed for beauty, health, and a nice mild temperament for excellent family pets. Many families also use our dogs for service dogs and they are a natural with autistic children. These pups are absolutely stunning with their classic heads and beautiful colors.  Our gorgeous dogs draw attention everywhere we go! They are well trained, mild tempered exceptional dogs who live in our house. After 42 years of breeding beautiful healthy goldens we have added Cavaliers to our program. We are happy to announce our first litter of Cavaliers!   We started breeding golden retrievers about 42 years ago. My husband’s family had grown up with golden retrievers and when I met their dog I fell in love with the breed.  Our first retriever was fantastically smart and was addicted to chasing balls.  She was also great with our 3 young daughters and just a wonderful family dog.  She had several litters of puppies and we enjoyed it so much.  We moved on to breeding field line retrievers, which we also loved, but they were a bit high strung for me.  My turning point in breeding was when I attended a dog show in St. Paul where I saw all the gorgeous show dogs; they were so beautiful that they almost looked like a different breed. I loved their light color and straight coats with long feathering.  I HAD to have one.  We acquired Cokato’s Captain Morgan in 1995; he was the most beautiful puppy I had ever seen. His grandfather was the top golden for Best in Show in history at that time.  He grew up to have such a mild and wonderful temperament, everyone loved him.  He greeted everyone at the door with a handshake and promptly took their shoes for them. He was so easily house trained and very intelligent.   He produced many extremely beautiful puppies over the next 12 years.  We had so many people coming back for another one or one for their family members.  He lived in great health until the age of 15 and is greatly missed.  Our current girls are beautiful colors with a wonderful mild temperament, great with my grandchildren and have the cutest puppies ever.   I have been breeding their lines since 1995 and have not had the current problems that golden retrievers are experiencing such as early cancer, thyroid issues, hip, heart and eye problems.  Our current sire comes from Morgan's lines, a beautiful gold who is an awesome retriever and loved by anyone who meets him.  He is one of the smartest retrievers I have ever known. He can find a ball anywhere you may throw it, brings our newspaper to us every morning and loves to swim but still has a nice mild temperament. My lines have consistently produced happy, healthy, mild tempered pups. We live in Grove city, MN during the summer and Fort Myers, Florida in the winter. Our dogs are with us in both places!
