Camila and Regina are a bonded pair of sweet, affectionate, and social Shih Tzu girls, around 10-12 months old and weighing under 9 lbs each. Camila is white with dark brown markings, and Regina is white with light brown markings. They love people, greeting visitors with excitement, and enjoy being cuddled and showered with attention. They walk well on a leash, are crate-trained, and settle down calmly during car rides. They also get along well with other dogs and are comfortable meeting new people. These two were found wandering together in Saltillo, Mexico, and after being safely rescued and evaluated by a veterinarian, they're now ready to find a loving family to share their journey with.
Ideal Home
A fenced backyard is a must for Camila and Regina. They are looking for an active family that enjoys outdoor activities and has a genuine intention to rescue and provide a dog with a loving home. Families with experience in dog behavior and training, or a willingness to hire a trainer, are ideal. They require high tolerance and patience as they adjust to their new environment.
Ongoing Health
Camila and Regina have received a comprehensive health protocol, including spay/neuter, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, microchipping, a 4DX test, a negative heartworm test, and monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive protection. They also have a health certificate and vaccine booklet.
Training & Support
Camila and Regina are not house-trained, and adopters should be prepared for this. Patience and understanding are crucial as rescued dogs adjust to new environments and people. Establishing a routine and clear boundaries will help them feel secure.
