Jersey

Meet joyful Jersey, a 5- to 6-year-old Staffy girl rescued from the streets of Houston in April 2024. She's a tail-wagging wiggle butt who loves pets, cuddles, and being the center of attention. A people-pleaser at heart, Jersey is eager to make her humans happy and responds well to simple commands and redirection. She is potty trained, leash trained, and crate trained, but prefers to free roam and relax on the couch. Jersey seems content as an only dog and gets along nicely with other dogs of various sizes with proper introductions. She has shown curiosity towards neighborhood cats but has not been cat-tested. Jersey is a big fan of her antlers and bones and takes her chewing hobby seriously. To ensure her enjoyment of these items, it would be best for her to be with a dog who is willing to share or to have her temporarily crated.

Ideal Home

Jersey seems like she would be quite content as an only dog. In shared spaces, it would be better for her to only be with another dog who either doesn’t care or is willing to share her special chews, or to have her temporarily crated so she can enjoy her bounty without interruptions.

Ongoing Health

Jersey is spayed, fully vaccinated and up-to-date on DHPP, bordetella, rabies vaccines, heartworm negative, and on monthly flea-tick-hw preventative.

Training & Support

Jersey is house trained, leash trained, and crate trained. She responds well to simple commands and redirection.
