Alba is a delightful 1-year-old female Labrador Creole mix, weighing around 30 lbs. She was rescued in March 2024 and is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico. Alba is a loving, intelligent, obedient, and playful girl who is energetic and enjoys the company of humans, children, and other dogs. While she can be a bit shy when first meeting new people, she quickly warms up and melts into your arms once she receives affection. She is friendly with dogs and cats, loves to play, go for walks, and enjoys running. Alba is also crate and leash trained. She was found as a tiny puppy with her siblings in the middle of a field, and now she's ready to find her forever family.
Ideal Home
Alba would thrive in a home with owners who have a fenced backyard and are active families that enjoy outdoor activities. She needs a family with an open conscience about the needs and behaviors of rescued street animals, understanding their need for protection and education. Experience with dog behavior and training, along with high tolerance and patience for rescued pups, is highly desired. Alba is not house-trained.
Ongoing Health
Alba has received a comprehensive health protocol including spay/neuter certificate, two DHPPI vaccines, rabies vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, microchip, a 4DX test and certificate, a negative heartworm test certificate, and monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive protection for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. She also has a health certificate and vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Alba is crate and leash trained. However, it's important to note that rescued animals are not always potty-trained, and significant effort is put into their health and emotional rehabilitation rather than individual house-training. Potential adopters should be prepared for ongoing training and patience.

Transporation
Alba is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico. She is ready to travel to the East Coast on our next cross-country trip. Transportation to the adopter's home address on the East Coast is available for an additional transport fee.
