Himari

Himari is a sweet and affectionate 10-month-old terrier mix, currently weighing 22 lbs and expected to reach around 33 lbs. She was born at the shelter after her pregnant mother was rescued. Himari is a playful and loving girl who is learning to trust new people and can be a bit shy and nervous at first. She enjoys running and playing with her canine friends.

Ideal Home

Himari would thrive in a home with adopters who have an open mind about the needs of rescued animals and understand they require protection and education. Experience with dog behavior and training is highly valued, as is a high tolerance and patience for rescued pups. Adopters should be aware that Himari is not yet house-trained.

Ongoing Health

Himari has received a comprehensive health protocol including spay/neuter certificate, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, microchip, 4DX test, negative heartworm test, and monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive. She also has a health certificate and vaccine booklet.

Training & Support

Himari is not house-trained and will need consistent effort and patience to learn. Adopters should understand that rescued animals may have had traumatic pasts and may need an adjustment period. Patience and understanding are essential for Himari's successful integration into her new home.

Transportation

Himari is currently fostered in Matamoros, Mexico, and is available for transport to the East Coast. A transport fee of $400.00, paid by the adopter prior to departure, covers delivery to the adopter's home address.
