Meet Arthur! Arthur is a charming 5-year-old, 78-pound neutered Staffordshire Terrier/Retriever mix with a vibrant personality and a heart full of love. He's the perfect blend of an energetic adventure partner and a snuggly, affectionate companion. Arthur was found as a stray and thankfully rescued into a loving foster home. He approaches each day with pure enthusiasm and enjoys playtime, exploring new sights and smells, and cherishing time with his people.
Ideal Home
Arthur would thrive in a home that offers regular exercise and structure, with plenty of opportunities for him to be an integral part of the family. He's happy as an only pet, but would be thrilled with people who love to include their dog in all their daily adventures. While he has been around children and did well, his size and exuberance mean he could accidentally knock over a small child during play, so a family that understands his energetic nature and can provide appropriate outlets for his enthusiasm would be ideal.
Ongoing Health
Arthur is a healthy boy with no known ongoing health conditions.
Training & Support
Arthur is a well-behaved boy who is fully house-trained and crate-trained. He settles nicely in his crate and has comfortably stayed in it for extended periods. He also rides beautifully in the car and absolutely loves car rides! While Arthur may pull a bit when he first sets out on a walk, he quickly settles into the routine and walks well. He has a curious nature around cats and pot-bellied pigs, but has never shown aggression. As with any pet, proper introductions and supervision are always recommended.
