Meet Ghost, a 7-year-old Lab-ish gentleman whose name might sound spooky, but his heart is pure sweetness! Ghost is a big softie who adores belly rubs, butt scratches, car rides, and snuggling on the couch. He came to us when his family had to move and could no longer keep him, but they assured us he's a house-trained, quiet dog who is good with other dogs and cats, and is trustworthy when left alone. He's affectionate, gentle, docile, and well-behaved, even knowing commands like sit, down, heel, and sit pretty! His only quirk is that he can get a little excited on leash, eager to take in all the exciting smells and sights of the world.
Ideal Home
Ghost is looking for a loving home where he can spend his golden years being the affectionate couch potato he was born to be. He's not looking for an action-packed lifestyle, but rather a place where he can relax and be a loyal companion.
Ongoing Health
Ghost has a few medical needs. He struggles with allergies and is on a prescription hydrolyzed protein diet. He also has arthritis and evidence of a previous knee repair, so he takes daily medications and supplements to keep him comfortable. While veterinary visits can be stressful for him, requiring sedation and a muzzle, his daily treatments keep him feeling good. Baths are also not his favorite, but a little peanut butter can help!
Training & Support
Ghost is a well-behaved boy who knows several commands. His excitement on leash is something to manage, but with patience and positive reinforcement, he'll surely make strides.
