RITCHEY ROO (aka Richard)

Ritchey Roo, affectionately known as Richard, is an estimated 5-6 year old, 90 lb bundle of joy! This handsome hound mix is a true paradox, capable of being a laid-back couch potato one moment and an exuberant ball of energy the next. He absolutely adores his humans and thrives on companionship, often wanting nothing more than to lounge near you, whether indoors or out. Ritchey is house-trained and can entertain himself when you're away.

When the leash comes out or you walk through the door, Ritchey transforms! His excitement is infectious, though he can sometimes be a bit boisterous, especially around food or when he's eager for attention. He's not afraid to voice his opinions with a good howl now and then, but it's usually for a good, and often humorous, reason!

Ideal Home

Ritchey would do best in a home where he can be the sole object of your affection. While he enjoys being around people, he's not a clingy "velcro" dog and is content with his independence. A fenced yard would be a wonderful bonus for him to stretch his legs.

Ongoing Health

Ritchey arrived underweight and has since gained to a healthy 90 lbs. He's now looking to shed a few pounds, so a diet and increased activity would be beneficial.

Training & Support

Ritchey has learned the command "OVER" to give you space in bed, which shows his willingness to learn. He does require significant leash training as he can be a strong puller. He doesn't show much interest in toys or playing fetch.
