Bear is a handsome gentleman with a big presence and an even bigger personality! He's a confident, people-loving dog who approaches the world with enthusiasm and curiosity. Estimated to be a little over a year old and weighing around 60 lbs, Bear is likely a pittie mix, but as with all rescues, his exact breed and age are our best guess. What we know for sure is that Bear is a treat-motivated boy who is eager to engage and ready to learn!
Ideal Home
Bear thrives on human interaction and loves to be involved in whatever you're doing, whether it's soaking up attention or simply lounging nearby. He's already house and crate trained! Bear will do well with a confident, calm, larger female dog who won't be overwhelmed by his playful energy. He shows potential for living peacefully with a dog-savvy, confident cat, provided introductions are slow and careful.
Ongoing Health
Bear is a healthy boy.
Training & Support
As Bear is still in his energetic puppy phase, he's experiencing many new things for the first time. He's still learning leash manners and needs continued guidance to manage his excitement around other dogs. While he can sometimes be a bit too enthusiastic in play with other dogs, he is respectful once he gets to know them and responds well to clear, consistent handling and corrections. With the right dog match, proper introductions, and structure, he'll be a wonderful playmate. He loves enrichment puzzles, which are a great way to provide him with mental stimulation.
