About Nova

Hiya Friends! My name is Nova, and I'm a sweet, 4-6 year old female Malinois mix gal who was rescued and brought into the safety of IDGSR! My foster mom estimates my age to be about 4-6 years old, and while we aren't quite sure, I do have a little more gray on my face due to my hard upbringing. I used to be chained to a tree with no interaction and was used for breeding. Thankfully, I had my last litter of puppies (all of whom have found their forever homes!), and now it's my turn to find a loving family! I enjoy taking walks, exploring in the backyard, playing with other large breed dogs, and resting with my foster mom. If you're looking for a resilient, loving, friendly, sweet, and loyal companion, I'm your girl!

Ideal Home

I would love to find a person or family who will take me on walks, tell me I'm the bestest girl in the world, and show me what a loving family truly is. I am good with large male dogs, but I cannot live with cats. I will do fine with older children (10+).

Ongoing Health

All dogs in our care are up-to-date on vaccinations, heart-worm testing, monthly preventatives, and are spayed or neutered.

Training & Support

I could benefit from standard obedience training. I'm a cross between two very intelligent breeds, so I'll catch on super quick! Training will also be a wonderful way for us to bond!

Application Details:

  • Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
  • An application must be submitted before scheduling an appointment to meet me.
  • Due to the high volume of inquiries, first priority will be given to those with submitted applications.
  • All rescue work is done by dedicated volunteers, so please be respectful of their time.

Transporation

I am currently being fostered in Greeneville, TN. I am available for transport to the east coast; a transport fee will apply.
