We believe Etsy Bestie is a Cattle Dog/Pittie mix, approximately 2 years old and weighing 52 lbs. As with any rescue, breed and age cannot be guaranteed.
Ideal Home
Etsy would make a wonderful family dog and has shown comfort around children as young as 5 years old, even during boisterous activities like running, jumping, and cartwheels! She's a great listener, patiently waiting for her turn to enjoy treats. While she can be a little shy in new environments initially, it doesn't take long for her to open up and shower you with kisses and snuggles. She would do best in a home with a medium-energy male dog who enjoys the company of other dogs but isn't looking for a constant playmate. A relaxed hangout buddy for an occasional game of chase would be perfect! However, Etsy doesn't require another dog in the home, as she has plenty of love to give on her own. She would do best in a home without cats, as she showed a bit too much interest in the resident feline.
Ongoing Health
Etsy is up-to-date on all her vetting, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, and a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative. She has also tested negative for heartworm. She is microchipped with free lifetime registration.
Training & Support
Etsy is eager to learn and loves treats! She already knows basic commands like "sit" and "down." She walks well on a leash, only pulling occasionally towards interesting smells. She responds well to gentle correction and aims to please. Etsy has wonderful house manners and is crate and potty trained.

This includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada (with pick-up options in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You can track your pet's journey in real-time and receive photo updates. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
