Meet Scruff! This 17-lb bundle of energy and love was found near our vet's office and is estimated to be 1-1.5 years old. He's neutered, up-to-date on his vaccines, and is currently working on his basic manners with the guidance of a certified trainer. Scruff is a complete blast, operating at about 98% excitement at all times, with that extra 2% reserved for when he really focuses. He's hilarious during training sessions and brings a ton of personality to his foster home.
Ideal Home
Scruff needs a home that can provide a good amount of daily exercise and love to keep him happy. He would do best with a formal introduction to any resident dogs, as he's friendly and playful but needs a little time to warm up to new canine friends. He can do well with cats if they are able to entertain themselves and he's not allowed to pester them. Scruff would not do well in dog parks, as crowds can overwhelm him. He is too rough with young children.

Training & Support
Scruff is a work in progress and is learning to not jump up and scratch for attention, as well as working on mouthiness. He is crate trained and is working on mild separation anxiety; crating him with a reward has helped significantly. He is 95% house-trained but may have an accident if left for more than about 8 hours. He is learning friendly greetings and is working on not jumping on new people. Once he's had a chance to burn off his zoomies, he is very sweet and cuddly.
