Mavis

Mavis is a gentle and sweet girl, born around February 2024. She was recently evicted from her home and is looking for a fresh start. Mavis enjoys attention and loves being near her people. While she can be a bit reserved with new dogs, she would do well as an only dog or with a canine companion if introductions are slow and guided by an experienced person. She's learning to walk on a leash and has done well with crate training. Mavis needs a patient and calm environment to feel secure and blossom into the loyal, loving companion she's meant to be.

Ideal Home

Mavis would thrive in a calm environment where she can feel secure. She could do very well as an only dog, or with another dog if introductions are slow and thoughtful.

Ongoing Health

Mavis is up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped. Her adoption fee includes spay/neuter, distemper/parvo vaccines, flea preventative, deworming, and a health certificate for travel.

Training & Support

Mavis is learning to walk on a leash and has done well with crate training. She may need a little patience as she adjusts to a new home.

Transporation

Mavis is currently in Texas. Weekly transports to the Northeast are available, with fees ranging from $200. Transport to the Northwest and Midwest ranges from $225-$350, and to the Southeast ranges from $250-$350. Adopters will pay the cost of transport services outside of Texas.
