Poppy, affectionately nicknamed "Hoppy," is an energetic and joyful pup ready to bring smiles and prancing trots into your life! This 10-month-old, 35 lb Pittie mix has a zest for life, evident in his playful zoomies in the yard and his love for soaking up the sunshine. His unique airplane ears are a showstopper, complemented by his charming tuxedo markings, a lucky white-speckled foot, and a tail that wags with infectious enthusiasm. Poppy is a happy-go-lucky guy who enjoys a good game of tug, especially with his victory dance afterward! He's a clever boy, already knowing "sit" and "down," and is enthusiastically learning new tricks like pressing buttons, though they can be a little startling at times. While Poppy enjoys his alone time and is quiet in his pen while his foster mom works, he can't wait to get outside and roll in the grass. He's unfazed by the Pacific Northwest's weather, embracing gloom, snow, and mud with equal excitement! Poppy isn't a clingy companion but enjoys following his people around, supervising their activities with a friendly presence. He's working on building confidence with new experiences, people, and animals, and with calm, gradual introductions, he tends to either ignore or curiously inspect them before moving on. Poppy's love for snacks and treats makes him a motivated learner, and he's always excited to try new flavors.
