Meet Gemma, a truly brave soul who has overcome so much and is now ready for her happily ever after! Gemma was found in La Cruz facing a significant challenge with a TVT tumor. Despite this, she showed incredible resilience, fought through her treatment, and is now cancer-free, with only a small scar to show for her strength. She's a moderately active girl who enjoys leisurely strolls and soaking up the sun. Gemma gets along well with other dogs, showing a confident and calm demeanor. She lives peacefully with both male and female dogs daily and offers sweet, steady, and quiet affection to her human companions.

Gemma is cancer-free! To ensure she remains that way, a simple cytology swab every 6 months for 2 years is recommended. TVT rarely returns, and many survivors live long, happy lives.

Transportation

Our rescue is located near Bucerias, Mexico. We arrange for flight companions to transport our dogs to adopters in the US and Canada from Puerto Vallarta. For adoptions to Canada during summer months, alternative transport to the US and pickup at the Peace Arch Park at the border may be arranged with the help of volunteers.
