Freyja is a beautiful soul looking for a patient and experienced dog parent who understands shy and scared dogs. She was found abandoned on a dark road, having recently given birth, but thankfully, a kind person rescued her. Freyja is incredibly affectionate and would love nothing more than to snuggle on the couch with her new family. She also adores car rides, especially with the windows down! She has a special bond with her 9-year-old human foster sister and enjoys playtime. Freyja can get excited and forgets her size, sometimes jumping when she plays, so we are working on correcting this. Due to her size, caution and continued training are recommended. She will need some help with housebreaking, as her current foster situation doesn't allow for a consistent potty schedule. Freyja isn't a fan of crates and can be vocal about it. Like many pups, she'll need sturdy chew toys. With time, patience, and experienced guidance, Freyja has the potential to be a wonderful companion. She is great off-leash.
Ideal Home
Freyja would thrive in a home with an experienced owner who has had large dogs before and can provide the patience she needs as she overcomes her shyness. A family that can be home with her and take her on car rides would be ideal.
Ongoing Health
Freyja is spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and microchipped.
Training & Support
Freyja needs continued work on housebreaking and learning not to jump when excited. She is also not a fan of crates. She will need strong chew toys.
