Meet Gemma - A Brave Survivor Ready for Her Soft Landing
Some dogs show us what true resilience looks like, Gemma is one of them. Found in La Cruz with a severe TVT tumor, she had every reason to give up, but she did not. She fought, she healed, and today she is cancer free, carrying only a small scar as a reminder of her strength. She deserves comfort, love, and a family who sees the beauty in her journey. Gemma is moderately active and loves strolls and sunbathing. She gets along with most dogs, as she prefers to be the confident one and lives peacefully with male and female dogs every day. She is sweet, steady, and full of quiet affection.
Ideal Home
Gemma would love a home where she can continue to be a confident companion.
Ongoing Health
Gemma is cancer free. She will just need a simple cytology swab every 6 months for 2 years, as TVT rarely returns. Many of our TVT survivors have gone on to live long, happy lives.
Training & Support
Gemma is a sweet and steady girl who thrives on affection.

Transporation
Our rescue is located near Bucerias, Mexico. Approved adopters are matched with flight companions (flight angels) traveling from Puerto Vallarta. You will meet them at the airport to welcome your new pup home. During the summer months, it can be challenging to secure Canadian flight angels, so dogs may need to fly into the US and be picked up at Peace Arch Park at the border if a Canadian flight angel is unavailable. We have successfully completed many adoptions over the summer with volunteers helping to bring dogs to their adopters at the border. This remains a great option to keep adoptions moving forward.
