Pepperoni

Meet Pepperoni (ACCT-A-253003)! This handsome brindle boy is just under one year old and trying his best to be brave in the hustle and bustle of the shelter. He ended up here because his family could no longer make time for him. While the shelter is a bit overwhelming for him right now, a few hot dogs, a patient hand, and a favorite toy can really help him come out of his shell. Pepperoni is dreaming of a loving and understanding home where he can truly blossom into the wonderful dog we know he can be!

Ideal Home

Pepperoni would do best in a home with children 10 years or older. He needs a patient and understanding environment where he can gain confidence.

Ongoing Health

Pepperoni is a young pup and has been receiving all necessary veterinary care.

Training & Support

Pepperoni is still learning to navigate the world and can be a bit fearful and unsure in new situations. He is very food-motivated, especially by hot dogs, which will be a great asset in his training. He tends to pull on the leash and can be jumpy when excited, but with consistent positive reinforcement and gentle guidance, he will learn. He has shown interest in playing fetch and enjoys toys. He seems to be housetrained, having urinated and defecated multiple times during his evaluations. When meeting new dogs, he is initially very interested and pulls towards them. He can be steerable with some guidance.
