Moxie

Meet Moxie! She's a spirited 1-year-old, 58-pound German Shepherd mix with a heart of gold. Moxie is a joyful pup who absolutely loves playtime and exploring her surroundings. She's a treat connoisseur and a big fan of belly rubs. Moxie gets along wonderfully with her siblings and looks to older dogs for guidance. She's also shown a curious yet respectful attitude towards cats and has displayed no aggression towards farm animals like chickens and goats. Whether she's enjoying the outdoors solo or with her favorite people, Moxie is a happy camper. She has a keen eye for security and can often be found patrolling her yard, but when it's time to unwind, she's happy to chill on the couch.

Ideal Home

Moxie would thrive in a home with a fenced yard, as her guardian breeds are known to wander and enjoy surveying their territory. Older children are preferred due to her size, and while she's curious about cats, she respects their boundaries.

Ongoing Health

Moxie has received her first set of puppy vaccinations, has been de-wormed, and micro-chipped. She's also had a round of Simparica and Interceptor. Upon proof of spay, her adopter will receive a $150 refund.

Training & Support

Moxie is actively working on leash training and housebreaking skills. She's a smart, food-motivated learner and is already proficient with using a doggie door. As a livestock guardian breed mix, early training and socialization are crucial to help manage her natural guarding instincts, which can become more prominent around age 2. Potential adopters are highly encouraged to research the Maremma and Anatolian Shepherd breeds.
