Meet Chance, a delightful 4-year-old neutered and vaccinated Staffie mix with an old soul and a heart full of love. He was rescued from an overcrowded shelter after being found abandoned in an apartment, and he's been shining ever since. Chance has a gentle, soulful nature, always sporting a big, happy smile that's sure to brighten your day. He's the perfect blend of sweet, goofy, and affectionate, ready to be your loyal companion.
Ideal Home
Chance would thrive in a home with a relaxed, predictable routine. He'd do wonderfully with a semi-active family that includes older children who can handle his playful energy, and he'd love to have another dog his size to romp with. Alternatively, he'd be happy as the cherished sole dog, soaking up all the attention. Due to his strong prey drive, cats are not a good fit for Chance.

Training & Support
Chance is a smart boy with a playful, slightly mischievous streak and learns routines quickly. He has great house manners, is fully house-trained, and sleeps through the night. He can stay home alone without trouble and is happy napping in open crates or in comfy spots around the house, though he's not a fan of closed crate doors. While he can be a little stubborn when focused on something like squirrels, he responds well to positive reinforcement, especially with the promise of a "cookie"! His love of treats makes him an excellent candidate for continued training.

- Once your initial screen is complete, you'll be connected for a video chat.
- Transports run every few weeks and approved dogs will be on the next available transport.
- If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time.
- We are a volunteer-run rescue and dedicate our time to these dogs. If you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply.
- If someone other than yourself is part of the decision-making process, please ensure you have spoken with them and they are on board.
Transporation
Chance is currently located with our rescue partners in Houston, Texas. He will be on the next available transport to the Northeast once approved for adoption.
