Meet Hachi!

Hachi is a handsome and resilient 2-year-old boy who weighs around 50 lbs. He's a total love bug with a gentle spirit and a genuine love for people. Hachi was rescued from a hoarding situation and spent most of his life in an outdoor kennel, but despite his past, his heart has remained incredibly soft. He truly treasures the simple things in life, like belly rubs, a cozy bed, and quality time with his family. He's wonderful with kids and greets everyone with a wagging tail. Hachi is crate trained, potty trained, and ready to settle into a home of his own. He's a medium-energy dog, always up for some fun but also happy to relax by your side.

Ideal Home

Hachi would love a home where he's included, cherished, and loved. He enjoys car rides and would be a great adventure buddy.

Ongoing Health

Hachi is still working on gaining weight after years of being underfed; his ideal weight is closer to 60 lbs.

Training & Support

While Hachi does best with slow introductions to other dogs and tends to do better with confident pups, he can sometimes try to be the "big tough guy" with more timid dogs.

Transporation

Hachi is being fostered in Houston, Texas, but is available for adoption in many places around the country. Transport is available if you are within a search radius for a transport stop.
