Boomer is a stunning 6-7-year-old Bluetick Coonhound with a classic hound look and a heart ready for a new beginning. Weighing around 75 pounds, he's a big guy who's currently on a diet to slim down a bit and feel his best. Boomer came to us as a stray and likely lived a life of hunting, but those days are behind him. He's more than ready for the good life: soft beds, long naps, and a family to call his own. He has been patiently waiting for his forever home and is showing what a sweet, laid-back companion he can be. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving hound with plenty of life left and a deep appreciation for home comforts, Boomer might be the one.

Ideal Home

Boomer is dog-friendly and loves people, but he’s absolutely not a fan of cats—he's a little too interested in them for comfort.
