Peanut

Meet Peanut, a charming one-year-old Weimaraner mix with a quiet confidence and a heart full of affection. Affectionately nicknamed "Little Boy," Peanut is a handsome chocolate brown pup with floppy ears and expressive amber eyes that communicate his every thought. While he enjoys the company of other dogs and people, his absolute favorite is snuggling up with his human. Couch naps are his specialty; he'll give you those soulful eyes and soft grumbles until you join him for a perfectly content snooze.

Ideal Home

Peanut would thrive in a home that appreciates his love for cuddles and quiet companionship. While he's generally good with dogs in the 30-70 pound range, his enthusiastic play style might be a bit much for some. He's great with older children, especially tweens and teens. However, younger children or those who run and jump can excite him, leading to jumping, so supervision and structure are key.

Ongoing Health

Peanut has a sensitive stomach and does best on a diet of low-ingredient food, treats, and chews.

Training & Support

Peanut is house trained and crate trained, settling well when left alone for up to eight hours. He's learning "sit" and "shake" and already knows "get in your box" and "no." He does pull on walks and benefits from a harness. At parks, a shorter leash is recommended as he may jump toward runners or children playing ball.
