About Channel

Meet Channel, an 8-month-old Caramelo Dog weighing 43.6 lbs, who is searching for a loving forever home. Channel’s story began in heartbreaking circumstances. She was born as part of a litter of five puppies on a property where corrosive cleaning products were manufactured. The security guards at the site did their best to feed and protect the puppies, but as they grew older, they became curious and adventurous. Tragically, the puppies fell into an oil pit, and Channel was the only survivor. On a cold January 4th, 2026, after learning about the tragedy, her rescuer brought her home to safety. Within days, Channel received the care she desperately needed. Since then, she has been given the chance to heal, grow, and learn what love feels like. Channel is a playful and affectionate girl who enjoys attention and gentle pets. She gets along well with cats, dogs, men, and women. At first, she can be protective and cautious around new people, but once she feels safe, her loving personality quickly shines through. Channel can also feel nervous when left alone, so she would do best with a family willing to give her patience, reassurance, and companionship as she continues building confidence. After surviving such a tragic beginning, Channel deserves a family that will give her the safety, stability, and unconditional love she has always deserved.

Ideal Home

Channel would do best in a home with a fenced backyard and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. She needs a family with a genuine intention to rescue and who understands the needs of street animals, including their need for protection and education. Experience with dog behavior and training is preferred, or a willingness to hire a trainer. High tolerance and patience for rescued puppies are essential.

Ongoing Health

Channel has received a spay/neuter certificate, two DHPPI vaccines, a Rabies vaccine, a Bordetella vaccine, and has been dewormed. She is microchipped, and a 4DX test and negative Heartworm test certificate have been provided. She receives monthly preventive protection from Nexgard Spectra for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. A health certificate and vaccination booklet are also available.

Training & Support

Channel is not house-trained and will require patience and consistency in this area. She can be nervous when left alone and will benefit from a family who can provide reassurance and companionship to help build her confidence.

We organize 3-4 trips per year with a minimum of 15-20 adoptions per trip. Our contracted transport company, based in Montana, sends a dedicated team to Mexico to collect adopted pets. Each pet is provided with all necessary legal documents, including a Transport Contract, Health Certificate from the USDA, and certificates regarding administered health protocols. For US adoptions, our transport team will escort the pets across the border into Texas. For Canadian adoptions, pets will be delivered to the nearest US-Canada border. A private Facebook Messenger group will be created with adopters and the transport team to provide real-time updates, including photos and videos of the journey, feeding and walking schedules, and estimated arrival times. The transport team will deliver your pet directly to your home address and conduct a final home review.
