Meet Queenie, a three-year-old Retriever mix who's got a heart of gold and a dash of sass! This 55-pound wonder may have lost sight in one eye, but it certainly hasn't dimmed her adventurous spirit. Queenie is a delightful blend of energy, charm, and just the right amount of diva attitude. She loves her walks, though she might pause mid-stroll to enjoy a good flop and rest, because, well, she's Queenie! While she's not particularly into toys, she adores wrestling with her doggy friends and soaking up your affection. Queenie can be a little timid at first, but she warms up quickly and will happily roll over for belly rubs. Just be prepared for a little stubbornness when it's time to leash up – it's all part of her unique charm!
Ideal Home
Queenie would thrive in a home with a large yard where she can explore to her heart's content. She'd be a perfect companion for someone with an active lifestyle, whether that's hiking or running. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and enjoys playful, gentle rough-and-tumble. We recommend a home with children 10 years and older to ensure the best fit. Be aware that Queenie can be a digger and may try to find her way out of containment if her curiosity gets the best of her, but she's not a flight risk.
Ongoing Health
Queenie has lost sight in one eye, but this does not impede her quality of life.
Training & Support
Queenie may have a stubborn streak when it comes to leashing up. She enjoys playtime with other dogs but is not particularly motivated by toys. She can be timid when meeting new people, but she warms up with affection.
