Crouton

Meet Crouton! This adorable 3-year-old, 10-pound poodle mix has a heart that's much bigger than she is. She came into our care heartbreakingly underweight, but with lots of love and good meals, she's filled back out and is finally ready to find her forever family. Don't let her tiny size fool you, Crouton is surprisingly brave and does great with dogs of all sizes, even Great Danes! She also gets along well with cats. She is crate trained, though she may bark when other dogs walk by because she would much rather be out making new friends. Crouton is doing wonderfully with potty training. Like many small dogs, she's still working on holding it while inside, but she heads straight to the bathroom as soon as she's outside and continues to improve every day. She is incredibly sweet, enjoys being held, and loves spending time with her people.

Ideal Home

A home where she can continue to build confidence and enjoy the company of both humans and other pets.

Ongoing Health

Crouton's teeth will likely need a dental cleaning in the near future. After a history of struggling to survive and find food, her smile shows a bit of that past.

Training & Support

Crouton is crate trained and making great progress with potty training, though she's still learning to hold it while indoors. She may bark at passing dogs when inside, as she'd prefer to be meeting them!
