Smokie- Referral all mixed up dog rescue

Smokie is a handsome 4-year-old mix of German Shepherd, Husky, Malamute, and Cattle Dog. He's a bit shy at first, but a squeaky tennis ball or a tasty treat can quickly win him over. While he can be a little fearful of men and may bark initially, he warms up with a little patience. Smokie absolutely loves to play fetch, has excellent house manners, and is already kennel trained.

Ideal Home

Smokie would thrive in a quiet home in an area with minimal traffic and noise. A securely fenced backyard is a must for him to run, jump, and play to his heart's content. Due to his high prey drive, he cannot be placed in a home with cats or other small critters. We also recommend no children of any age, as they could be a bit overwhelming for him.

Ongoing Health

Smokie is up-to-date on his vaccinations and has been neutered.

Training & Support

Smokie can be timid when meeting new people or in active places, but he's made wonderful progress with his foster mom and just needs continued practice to build his confidence. His ideal person will have patience and be willing to work on his social skills.
